Semion Tamel:

(Circa 1715) commonly known as Cammala Maha Mudaliyar. Some Singhalese verses written about him have been found. Received from the Dutch Government extensive land in the Toppu District, which by the marriage of his granddaughter passed to the de Rowel Family (Kara-Govi Contest, Page 57). Descendants of younger branch still at Marawila.
